Mobile Voices

Posted on November 9, 2009 by Holly Willis

A collaboration among the Annenberg School for Communication (ASC) at the University of Southern California (USC), the Institute of Popular Education of Southern California (IDEPSCA), which is a nonprofit organization serving low-income Latino immigrants, and the IML, Mobile Voices is a mobile phone storytelling platform designed to give voice to a community frequently discussed in the media by others but rarely allowed to speak for themselves. The IML’s role is to support literacies as they develop among disparate communities, including students and workers.
